I have activated the Knowledge Management Advanced plugin and Knowledge Management Service Portal plugin. I have also confirmed the the properties for subscription have been set. There are:
- Enable subscribe feature for KM [glide.knowman.enable_km_subscription] = Checked
- List of roles (comma-separated) who can have subscription feature [glide.knowman.enable_km_subscription.roles] = knowledge
- List of workflow states (comma-separated) that can have subscription feature [glide.knowman.enable_km_subscription.workflow_state] = draft, review, published
I see the subscribe button on knowledge bases but not on individual articles.

Resolution: We had a customization on the UI Page "kb_view". After, we reverted the object to OOB, the Subscribe button showed up on the article

Thanks. I have went in as an Admin and impersonated a Knowledge user and did not see the button either time. I have made sure the plugins are active as well. I will submit a ticket in HI

Alright.
Hopefully you get it straight.
I hope you've followed my steps as I just did them solely for the purpose of this thread in my PDI and it works.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
If you are referring to the SP and not seeing the button there, then you have to follow the steps in that link I posted above. It would then show as:
