How do I manage what notification preferences people see?

OOB there are a ton of notification options for folks to enable/disable. Can someone share where I might be able to limit the areas that folks can turn on/off their notifications.

Here is what I found on this topic after great discussion here: While neither of these actions allow to "hide" the notification preference, it at least lets you control who can subscribe and unsubscribe.

Hello All,

 

I have similor requirement where i need to hide the notification or notification by category .if User have table access or roles  then only he can see the category related to Table/Roles .

for ex- if user can access change_management table then he should be able to see change related notification in notification preferences ,not able to see other notification and not able to edit also .

Mandatory checkbox is disable to edit the notification preferences but not hide the notification which are not related to the user based on the table /Role .

Kindly suggest .
