How do you enlarge an image in Knowledge

Hello all,

We have several knowledge articles that have images in them.  In the article, the image displays in a small 136x200 px size.  The actual size of the image is 658x965.  I do not want this huge image in the article itself, but is it possible to have a user click the image to expand it or open up the full size image?  I tried to create a link on the image back to the attachment, but that doesn't seem to work.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Donald,

This feature was added in Madrid release in the knowledge portal. When you add an image to the article and specify the size to be smaller than the actual size, it is initially rendered in the size specified in the portal's article view. However on clicking the image, the full view of the image is shown:

find_real_file.png

find_real_file.png

On click, the full image is displayed. After viewing the image you can close it using the X on the top right and resume reading the article.

Hi Donald,

If you add the link tag to the html source code, you should be able to get the picture downloaded when clicking on it. The user could open it once downloaded.

Nevertheless, I see the behavior you want to achieve come Out of the Box with New York release.

Thank you,

Greg

Thank you Lokenath. That is great to know.  Is that same functionality coming to the Knowledge Homepage, which our Fulfillers use?

Woohoo!!!!!!! Someone else looking for a consistent UI!!!! Thank you Donald!

If SN Reads this... YES, we all want a consistent (and changeable) UI for ALL users.
