Hi,

In sandiego we have notification icon on top right corner.

Can someone explain which notifications show up there?

Are they regular email notifications or should i configure new notification of different type?

Hi Pradeep,

Generally, it shows the Notifications which has been configured for you to receive. It includes all kinds and categories. However you can limit those by some set of configurations.

Set up how you receive web and email notifications in Next Experience.

Before you begin

Role required: admin

Procedure

  1. Navigate to User Menu > Preferences > Notifications.
  2. Configure Workspace notification preferences.
    1. Select the Workspace tab.
    2. Select the workspace notification preferences you want to configure.
      Workspace
      Field Description
Show banners. Enables notification banners to display in your workspace.
Show badge count. Displays a badge count of notifications.
  3. Configure Core UI email notifications.
For more information, see Email setup.
    1. Select the Core UI tab.
    2. Select the email notification preferences you want to configure.

    Field Description
Notifications channels Create Channel: Set up where and how you want to receive notifications.
    • Name: Name for your notification channel.
    • Type: The way you want to receive the notification: email, instant message, SMS, or voice.
    • Phone number: The phone number the notification should go to.
    • Service provider: Your service provider.
Notifications by category Create Personal Notification: Option to create a personal notification.
    • Name: Name for your personal notification.
    • Notifications: The type of notification you want to receive, for example Group affected or Work Order Task Created.
Notifications by category Create a personal notification or select the application of a notification and set up your notifications for that application.

To view the notifications in a given application category, click the category row or the right arrow (>) next to the appropriate category. You can:

    • Edit settings for a notification:
      • Enable or disable channels for the selected notification.
      • Set up the conditions for your notifications. These conditions can include schedules and filters that affect the delivery of the notification. For more information, see Apply notification conditions.
    • Create personal notifications. Set up personal notifications to receive notifications that matter to you. For more information, see Create personal notifications.

Hi Sandeep,

Thanks for the response.

In my instance it is showing empty even after an incident is assigned to me. I am getting the general email notifications though.
