Hello,
I'm pulling the CIs dant via Microsoft Intune. I want to create the CI name but I'm confused.
For exemple now on the alm_hardware table this is the rule for the CI name.
if Class field is on the form CI name is set to Serial Number and Model name
this make sense to me since the CI name is unique
But,
if Class field is not on the form CI name is set to Model name
CI name is not unique
(Ref OOTB Script include : AssetAndCI from line 200)
Is there any global rule for CIs name?

Hi,
The rules you are looking at are for creating a CI at the time of creating an Asset. That is usually not the final name of the CI. You set a more user friendly name when you start using the CI. Are you creating CIs using data from Microsoft Intune? Then it already has a name in Intune, right?
Regards,
Niklas
