I’m confused with some of the terminology

Basically, I’m studying for the ServiceNow CSA exam. I’m new, but I’ve come so far considering I’ve learnt a lot of stuff my self. But, no man is an island, and I’m only one person. It would be great if I have some assistance. Like, I don’t understand what “the selected reference fields” means, and I don’t understand what is meant by accessing fields on related tables.

Many thanks.

Heya. Thanks for simplifying. I just wanted to ask something based on what you said. In the very beginning when you say two tables, do you mean two tables that are separate. Also, in the beginning when you say the ‘assigned to’ field, do you mean the incident is being assigned to someone to like fix the issue.

Kind regards.

Hi @Grippy Shadow ,

Yess to both. In servicenow data is stored in one or the other table. If u are aware in which table data is present, you are already halfway der.

Mark my answer helpful & accepted if it answered your question.

Thanks,

Heya. I just wanted to clarify something. Basically, when I was reading the definition of field. It said “a choice list based on the table…” Basically, by “the table” does it mean everything as a whole. As one unit.

Kind regards.
