I want the label when referencing data of a reference type to show the value of another column instead of REQXXXXX.

I try to reference data of a reference type, but the display item is the request number.

I would like to display data in a specified column instead of request numbers.

On the sc_request table right click on the filed that you want to display in the reference. Then choose configure dictionary. Click on the dictionary override tab and click new. Make sure the correct table is listed and then choose the check box next to override display value. Note that this is a global change and will affect all reference fields to the sc_request table. Example screenshot were I did this for products making the short description the the display value.
