Is there a table in CMDB to maintain Active Directory Groups?
I am planning to have LDAP integration done and maintain MS Active Directory Groups in CMDB, to drive various initiatives which are relying on AD data. Wondering if i can use a table Out of Box to maintain AD Groups.

Any consideration to just save these as ServiceNow groups and not in the CMDB directly? I am not sure what attributes of the group you would want to keep, but storying in the sys_group table would capture many attributes including members and keep a history. This would have many other uses beyond just storing AD group attributes. But maybe this doesn't fit your use case.

Hi Jeff,
Thank you! I was under the same impression of going with sys_user_group table, subject to my internal investigation to undersand any complications in doing so. May be i will go with this approach, unless i see any conflict with what we are doing with this table.

Hi arunv
I would like to suggest you that,
If you are going to use LDAP for Integration, then you can use the Custom Table to Store the Data.(until and unless you don't want to store AD groups for roles or assignments within service now).
even you can sync that group data also.
please refer this for additional information
