Is there a way to move knowledge articles from one instance to another, ideally my I would require it to have the same KB# number, sys ID and even carry the attachments / images.Please suggest me the best possible way to achieve this.

Simply export to xml the amount of articles you would like to transfer and import then to the new instance. If all of the field names are the same then you shouldn't have any trouble.
