Is there a way to search for any word in the activities of a change_request record.?

I don't think Journaled fields (such as Additional Comments & Work Notes) are available through the condition builder at the top of the list, but there is a "Keywords" option available in the list which will search all text fields including the journaled fields.

For a 1 off search you could probably query sys_history_line, but I would not consider it appropriate for a BAU operation\process.

If you are looking to find that word in certain columns only, I would suggest applying a filter on the list view for searching.
