The requested option of either disabling the button or change the form to use the template is not applicable as this is using angular JS and not allowed to change it. This is how it is designed in the out of the box and unfortunately no option to change it. "

Hi Boniface,

Your question reminded me of this thread: Disabling the "Create Content" button at the top of the Knowledge Base page

There "may" be an answer in there for you!

Suzanne

Hallo Suzanne,

Thanks for your suggestion. We have already restricted where can contribute and read the knowledge articles (user criteria ). The problem is if somebody creates a knowledge article using the create Article Button on the knowledge homepage, it does not use the template. So the options are either we find a way that it applies the template like the create new module or we disable it completely.

Best Regards,

Boniface

The only one who should see these buttons are admin or one of the "knowledge" roles.
No one else should see this.

Go to Knowledge Bases>The KnowledgeBase you want to restrict

Click on the Can Contribute tab

Hallo Blaze,

Thanks for your reply. As i have mentioned in my reply to Suzanne. We have already used User criteria to restrict the access. My problem is the create Article Button on the knowledge homepage, it does not use the specified template ( as the create new module ). So we will either have to disable it or find a way for it to use the template.

Best Regards,

Boniface
