I have to forms with related lists on the bottom. When I click the link for a record in the list, it brings me to the m2m record. Is there a way to configure it to bring me to the actual record shown? Any help is appreciated.

If your M2M table has reference fields that point to the different records, make sure that those reference fields are visible in the list. If you can provide a screen shot of the related list, we may be able to tell you which columns to use.

My guess is this is for GRC.
If you Edit the list layout on this list, you should be able to see what fields are shown.
From this list, if I click on Control.Number, it takes me to the M2M table. However, if I select the next column over (Control) It takes me to the control record. You may need to adjust your list layout to make sure that those reference fields such as Control and Risk are selected.
Also, looking at your screenshot, it says Risk = (blank)
This may also be why it goes to the M2M table, but I am not sure since I cannot replicate that behavior.

Thanks Chris. I appreciate you spending time looking at this.
Yes this is for GRC. Clicking on the COBIT # field brings me to the m2m record. From there if I mouse over the Info button next to risk or control it shows the record I'm trying to display from the related list. The issue is the Control or Risk field shown exist only in the m2m record. They are not in the risk table (sn_risk_risk) or in the Control table (sn_compliance_control), I can show the m2m table with sn_risk_m2m_risk_control.list from the menu filter. It shows a list of all the relationships created but none of them have values for risk and control. See image below.
