Integrating Now Assist with ServiceNow's Virtual Agent enhances user interactions by providing intelligent, conversational experiences. Here's how you can set up and configure this integration:
1. Prerequisites:
ServiceNow Instance: Ensure your instance is updated to Vancouver Patch 2 or later.
Licensing: Confirm that your organization has an active Now Assist license.
Plugins: Verify that the Virtual Agent and Now Assist Admin Console plugins are installed and activated.
2. Installing Now Assist for Virtual Agent:
Access Now Assist Admin Console:
- Navigate to Now Assist Admin > Home within your ServiceNow instance.
Install the Plugin:
- In the Settings tab, locate Now Assist for Virtual Agent.
- Click "Get Plugin" to initiate the installation.
Activation:
- Once installed, ensure the plugin is activated by checking its status in the Plugins list.
3. Configuring Now Assist in Virtual Agent:
Enable Generative AI Experience:
- To fully utilize Now Assist's capabilities, enable the generative AI experience for catalog item request submissions.
