After upgrading to New York Patch 3, Post button is hidden when a journal field becomes mandatory

Expected results: When a journal field is made mandatory, the Post button remains visible.

Actual results: When a journal field is made mandatory, the Post button disappears. Trigger: A Journal field becomes mandatory, via UI Policy or Client Script.

I have managed to reproduce the issue in a vanilla instance, upgraded from Madrid to New York.

The workaround would be just to save the record, and the journal entry is added.

Has anyone else come across this?

Maybe this was by design!

adding one HI article link here.

It has mentioned one line.

, this is expected behavior now starting from NY -  if the comments or work notes field is made mandatory using policies or client scripts, the Post button is removed from the Activity Stream

Yes, this also occurs in Orlando Patch 3.  This is not expected.  This will not be expected by end users and will be a constant source of user training and bug ticket entry for the System UI.  The "Show Both" icon actually changes as if it's been clicked and the "Post" button should then be shown.
