One of my prospects is looking if they could use push notifications on mobile devices (iphone & ipad) in the browser.
For the end users they prefer not to use the Mobile App of ServiceNow but solely use the Service Portal experience. If the status of an incident changes for that end user they would like to send a push notification to that user (so via the browser).
Would this be possible to achieve in Helsinki or Istanbul?

Simon, I am wondering what kind of push notification would that be if they are not using a mobile app. If the user is just using a browser, the notification will be a pop-up message. And that too will be visible if the browser is open with the portal website running. If the user closes the browser, I don't think there is a way of displaying a message or sending a push message. For a push notification, there has to be a mobile app running. It is possible that you can use your own custom app for push notifications and do not have to use the servicenow app. This doc will give you more info: Push notification setup with a custom push application
If I did not understand your question well, please accept my apologies and explain a bit more.

Hi Rohan,
It is possible nowadays, to push notifications through the browser app. (e.g. when i visit facebook using my chrome browser on my android device, it prompts me if facebook is allowed to send me push notifications through the chrome app. Since Facebook is very spammy I disabled this shortly after I tried, but the technology is there.) I think this is what simon.dejonghe was looking for.
It would be great to see such notifications beeing supported in ServiceNow
