Hi,
We are heading towards having three Sharepoint solutions - SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2019 and SharePoint Online
We need to be able to direct incidents to specific groups based on the version the site is using.
Wondering if anyone else is creating configuration items in ServiceNow for each SharePoint site? If yes
- What CMDB class do you use / did you create to hold the site information?
- How are you managing CMDB configuration item creation and maintenance?
thanks,
Steve

Hi,
we created our own CI Class for our SharePoint Sites (only SharePoint Online) and manage them through Catalog Items.
There are also some OOTB Classes for SharePoints but they stored completly different data and therefore we couldn´t use it.
For the routing you could use the Support Group field on cmdb_ci to store different values.

Hi - thanks for the information. What's the process to create / maintain the configuration items in ServiceNow (eg User requests a site & then a catalogue item / record producer to create the entry?)
regards,
Steve

Hi!
Just wanted to follow up on this, did you extend from a table (and if so which?) or create a new custom?
Thanks,
Derek

I have the same question. Since Sharepoint is a very common Enterprise software, and usually, corps are not only managing the Application layer of Sharepoint, but rather managing the configured "Sharepoint sites", i am surprised that custom classes are still the only possible way to manage those.
Any advise is highly appreciated.
