Slack Spoke for SNOW IntegrationHub

We are working on configuring the Slack Spoke in our SNOW instance and are encountering various issues.  To try and work thru these issues I want to do same in my PDI - install the Slack Spoke, configure it, test it, etc.  However, Slack Spoke is not available for me to request as a plugin.  I've tried activating the various IntegrationHub installers with no success.  What do I need to do to be able to activate this plugin in my PDI?

Thank you.

Hello Darryn,

The Slack spoke is offered in the IntegrationHub Starter version. For PDIs, this is not an option. Even when doing "Activate Plugin" for IntegrationHub Enterprise, it still does not offer the Slack spoke (or many others that are not in a paid instance).

Please mark my answer as correct/helpful if it has helped you.

Thanks,
Logan

Thank you so much for your concise reply, Logan.  Prior to your email I had executed a reset and wipe of my PDI.  Then, based on your guidance, I activated the 2 plugins noted.  Despite the 2 confirmation emails I received, the 2 plugins still list with "Activate" beside them.  I admit I do not know if that is normal or not.  I do have an IntegrationHub menu in my instance, but I still have no Slack Spoke available to activate.  Any further tips you may have are greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
D

I do not know of any way to activate Spokes that require a paid instance within a PDI. I corrected my original reply as I realized the answer I linked to, I was not able to replicate and was incorrect. I would recommend just setting up the spoke in a sub-production instance in your environment and open a HI ticket. Or if you elaborate on the issues faced with the spoke I - or someone else - can probably help walk through them.

Thank you for the further clarification, Logan.  To elaborate further we have the spoke installed in sub-prod and Slack configured.  However, if we initiate a message from SNOW it does show up in Slack, but any attempt to acknowledge it results in a 401 error.  We have been unsuccessful in isolating or identifying why this 401 is being thrown.  Please let me know what further details I can provide as we appreciate any assistance.

Further clarification... our system log records "Unable to retrieve property: slackSigningSecret" when the user attempts the ack.  It also records "Slack inbound authentication failed. Please check the slack configurations table".  We know this comes from the SlackAuthenticationService script include, but we haven't been able to identify what the contents of the "slackapp" variable are.

Cheers,
D
