Wanted to know the step by step process of update source setup from lower env to higher environment in servicenow

@Dimple1107  You can use any account with admin role, it is always good to have a seperate account for this.

Hi @Dimple1107 

 

You can follow the simple below.

  1. Create a user account in your lower environment and set the password. This user account should have admin role.
  2. Now in your Higher Instance, Naviagte to All -> System Updatesets -> Update Sources

  4. Then in the List view opened, click on New button and in the form opened fill in all the details appropriately and save.

  6. Click on Test Connection to see if the connection parameters are correct or not, if you see successful message it is good otherwise check your URL, Username and Password.

Does anyone know how to change the Host name of the Update Source?
we had a split and we want to just change the Update Source name and URL for new instances. However, I see a notification while Testing Connection.
