What are all the list of out of the box tables on which workflow is compulsory?

Hi Malli,

 

List of OOB tables can be identified as it will not have 'u_' prefixed while for which table workflow is mandatory depends completely on the business requirment as ServiceNow is open platform & can be configured so as to meet requirements.

Hi, I don't believe it is compulsory for any table. It would take some work to delivery task_sla notifications without it and approval functions would be hard to deliver; there may be other table functionality which benifits greatly from it, but it's not mandatory.

simply go to Workflow > Workflow Editor , there you should find the 69 OOTB Published Wworkflows with the corresponding tables:

ServiceNow comes with Workflows configured for the following tables:

  • Assessment Instance
  • Change Request
  • Content
  • Contract
  • Document Revision
  • Escalation
  • Forum Membership Approvals
  • Knowledge
  • Publication
  • Push or Pull
  • Registration Request
  • Request
  • Request new Knowledge Base
  • Requested Item
  • Roster schedule entry proposal
  • Service Order
  • Service Order Task
  • Service Task
  • Standard Change Proposal
  • Task
  • Task SLA

Don't get hung up on this though, you can configure Workflows for any table you wish.

That being said, I would strongly consider using Flow Designer instead of Business Rules and Workflow. That is the direction the vendor is taking in regards to platform configuration.
