Try following this video step by step as it walks through Assessment Simulator Task 3 – Create and Comment on a Record.

Make sure you are performing the tasks by impersonating as 'Platform User' and not as system admin.

If it does not work, try removing and redoing the task. First submit the issue, then add the visible comment for user and try the validation task again.
