Unable to Login to ServiceNow Instance – Password Showing Incorrect

Hi All, I am facing an issue while trying to log in to my ServiceNow instance. When I enter my credentials, the system shows that the password is incorrect. I am sure that I am entering the correct password. I have already tried the following steps: - Retried login multiple times - Checked for case sensitivity in the password - Cleared browser cache / tried incognito mode - Tried logging in from a different browser However, the issue still persists. Could you please help me understand: 1. If my account might be locked due to multiple failed attempts? 2. How can I reset my password if I am unable to log in? 3. Is there any way an admin can verify or unlock my account? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @anshuathaku

ServiceNow uses a unified single sign-on (SSO) for the Community, Developer Portal, and Now Learning.

1) If you forgot your password, use this process:

Refer this FAQ : ServiceNow User FAQs – ServiceNow

Password reset

How do I reset my password?

Go to the ServiceNow account sign-in. Enter your email address and follow the instructions to reset your password.

Where is my password reset email verification?

Check your email client spam folder. Not there? Look in your IT spam filter for the email containing a time-sensitive code. If not found, contact your organization’s IT department and request to safelist incoming ServiceNow emails.

2) If you know your password and able to login into Developer site, use this:

Recover your admin password via the Developer Portal:

  1. Log in to your profile on the ServiceNow Developer Site.
  2. Click on your Gear Icon in the middle
  3. Select Manage instance password.
