Anybody got the Alignment Planner / Roadmap Builder to work?

I'm trying to follow the documentation for the new road-mapping function (supposedly released last week). I thought it was called "Alignment Planner Workspace" but I'm not finding that in the list of available apps. I did find "Roadmap UI Builder Component" so installed that. It appeared to install but I'm not finding anything new in the nav (searching for "roadmap" or "planner" or "alignment" or "workspace").

I did see some errors in the Installation Logs so tried a "Repair". That seemed to work (no errors) but I'm still not seeing anything in the nav.

I'm logged in as System Administrator in the Global app in a Quebec PDI.

I saw mention in some earlier posts about applying the sn_roadmap_plng_roadmap_editor role. But I'm not even seeing that as an option in the list of roles. So I still don't feel I've actually got it installed properly.

Any suggestions? What am I missing?

Here is what you need to do to install the Alignment Planner / Roadmap application:

  1. Make sure your instance is running Quebec
  2. Navigate to System Applications > All Available Applications > All
  3. Search for the Alignment Planner Workspace and Install (load the demo data for PDI). If it doesn't show up in your search right away, hang tight.
  4. Make sure the Alignment Planner roles are added to the user that will be accessing the application (I had to manually add the sn_roadmap_plng.roadmap_editor role to my Sys Admin user in my PDI). Click here to see the roles.
  5. Navigate to Alignment Planner Workspace.

Let me know if that helps, Rae Ann

Did you follow all these steps?

Rae Ann

Adding the roadmap roles to my Sys Admin user in the PDI was the trick. Works now for me. Thanks!

I swear Alignment Planner Workspace wasn't in the list of applications yesterday, Rae Ann. Honest! It's there now so I'm installing it now.
