Has anyone ever worked on any consolidation of ServiceNow instances where two companies are merging (or acquiring one another) and their processes and ServiceNow instances are very different? Any thoughts if this is even technically feasible?

Hi Marcelo,
I had the same question and I appreciate the detailed answer from Bharat.
I might be in this situation soon and preparing myself of the possible solution.
One of the PRD instance has to retire and the one with more and complicated customization should probably remain active.
Planning to import business rules, scripts, acls etc using xml format and load it in active instance after making sure all fields are already present.
Recreate the catalog items and tweak the workflow as needed.
I have a question, what is the best way to import a table along with all its fields?
Thanks,
AK

I would not import the data as XML export-import and would rather use data sources to import the data. This would avoid any sys_id related issues.
