Is it possible to create multiple fiscal periods for the same year?

Hi Community,

The use case is the following: we have 2 teams using SPM separately and they would like to have the fiscal periods like this:

a. Team A wants fiscal year to run from Jan to Dec

b. Team B wants fiscal year to run from April to March

I am aware you can only have one fiscal calendar type at any given time, but wanted to ask if there is any way to achieve the above or if it's a matter for an agreement to be made within the teams using the functionality.

I gave it a try in my PDI using generate operation and it didn't seem to work. Also used Insert and Stay and got an "invalid update" message.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you, I came across this one as well, but would this mean that we need to install the GRC metrics to benefit from this functionality?

If you do not want to go down on that route, explore option of creating Business Calendars and see if it meets your requirements,

Hi,

it is not recommended to have multiple Fiscal Periods for same Year on an instance. It may create unexpected results across multiple applications.
