Hi Community,
The use case is the following: we have 2 teams using SPM separately and they would like to have the fiscal periods like this:
a. Team A wants fiscal year to run from Jan to Dec
b. Team B wants fiscal year to run from April to March
I am aware you can only have one fiscal calendar type at any given time, but wanted to ask if there is any way to achieve the above or if it's a matter for an agreement to be made within the teams using the functionality.
I gave it a try in my PDI using generate operation and it didn't seem to work. Also used Insert and Stay and got an "invalid update" message.
Any input would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Paula

Hi,
it is not recommended to have multiple Fiscal Periods for same Year on an instance. It may create unexpected results across multiple applications.

Thank you @yogesh41 , I thought that might be the case, but wanted to run this by the community.
What about business calendars - would they be a good alternative? My brief understanding is that they deal more with the time zone/schedule side of things rather than being used for financial purposes.

Hi,
SPM dedicatedly refer Fiscal Calendar. You may not be able to refer Business Calendar's for SPM Financials entities like Cost Plan.
