Can someone shed some light on the breakdown of what each of the ITBM roles (Analyst, Planner, Worker) is used for exactly? I'm not able to find much out there. We're looking to migrate from HP-PPM which has a completely different licensing model. We would need to provide the number for each of the roles, which vary drastically in price. If anyone has gone through this, I would appreciate your insight.

We recently received this from a ServiceNow contact. My understanding is that these changes are relatively new. I don't believe this to be unique to us so thought it was ok to share here. If not, let me know and I'll remove it.

Yes, I believe that was the presentation. And, thanks for your input. We're looking at rolling HP-PPM and HP-QC functionality into SN, so just trying to piece together as much info as possible. I'm not so sure that SN can provide the same functionality as QC.
If anyone out there has done this or gone down this road, I'd love to hear from you.

Only took me two months, but I'm back with your answer:
Analyst, planner, and worker are three distinct license types in the ITBM framework. You don't have to have all three, and the higher tiered types contain the rights of hte lower tiers.
Analyst = Cost Transparency and Application Portfolio Management access plus anything "Planner" gets
Planner = Financial Planning access plus anything that "Worker" gets
Worker = Demand, Project, Resource, SDLC, and Testing access.
