ITBM roles (Analyst, Planner, Worker)

Can someone shed some light on the breakdown of what each of the ITBM roles (Analyst, Planner, Worker) is used for exactly? I'm not able to find much out there. We're looking to migrate from HP-PPM which has a completely different licensing model. We would need to provide the number for each of the roles, which vary drastically in price. If anyone has gone through this, I would appreciate your insight.

We recently received this from a ServiceNow contact. My understanding is that these changes are relatively new. I don't believe this to be unique to us so thought it was ok to share here. If not, let me know and I'll remove it.

ServiceNow is the only company that forces it's users to go to WikiLeaks to find product info

Most patently ridiculous thing I've heard in the space in the past 10 years

Indeed... I have no idea what the even actually means.

As you can imagine from this conversation, the ServiceNow ITBM team are seeking to simplify and improve the way we license and manage entitlements for the applications across PPM, Financial Management and Application Portfolio Management. I can't say for sure exactly when this work will start or be completed but if you are interested in providing input please send me an email at richard.hawes@servicenow.com

Hey richard.hawes@servicenow.com,

The new license distinctions look great to me.   It appears to nicely and adequately scale price based on the "depth" of usage in the ITBM space.   The only thing that throws us off in the field (at least when I first wrote this) is how the actual roles in ServiceNow roll up to the license use cases.   Have the team drum up a role/license mapping guide and throw that on docs, and everything should be grand.
