Hello,
I have seen a couple of questions on this but none has any direct answer to the question so I am hoping someone might help. Currently the Actual Start and End Date for Project and Project Task auto-populate the value of the Planned end date whenever the Project is manually closed prior to the Planned end date. I want it to be that we get the current closed date (the date the task was closed) and not the Planned end date in the Actual End Date field.
Product Docs states that when the Derive time component from planned dates is set to True, then this problem occurs but it is currently set to False and we are still experiencing the same issue. Where do I look to resolve this issue?
Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately this is true. Actual Start and Actual End Dates can be updated after it is saved

Hi,
I don't think it's possible to change this behavior, it's an expected behavior after London release, as you said properly documented in the London release note.
There is another discussion about it already there, you can also check here:

Thank you
