I believe the following KB may explain my issue or at least explain why we are having an issue with this in Geneva.   ServiceNow KB: PRB645197: Visual Task Board users do not see the list of boards to which they have a...

We have a user trying to add a problem to a visual task board, when select the List action "Add to Visual Task board", they are only presented with personal boards and not the boards that they belong to.   \

Has anyone else on Geneva seen this issue?

I was able to correct the issue by deleting the member from the board, then going back in and re-adding him as a member.   That makes me think there's an issue with the filter on the Add to Visual Task Board UI Action.

This is a known bug, fixed in Patch 12:

I have been waiting for this patch to come out to resolve the issue. I've tried removing/adding users to the board(s), but that doesn't resolve the issue for me.

I am having this issue in Fuji Patch 10 (the KB article suggests this is fixed in the article...) but it seems like a slightly different issue.

The crux of this is that I need a Freeform VTB for the team, and we shall all collaborate and use it essentially like a whiteboard. Certain tasks will come from a Change Request, so I need the whole team to be able to "Add to Visual Task Board" and select from any they have access to (are a member of)

I can see the UI Action loads an IFrame against:

vtb_add_to_board.do

If I navigate directly to this, the filter is restricted /locked down against a dynamically produced set of sys_ids, similar to when you pass some js into a filter and it is executed at run time... I see the results of the sys_ids for boards I own...

How do I get to the code behind this? It should be changed from pseudo   "owns" to "has access to" - IMO

If there is a KB with seemingly wrong info (ie. fixed in Fuji), as you provided above, is now the correct time to raise to HI?

I dont want to hack this feature, I just want it to work - else we are still running ServiceNow + Trello

Hi mrswann,

Did you ever find an answer to this issue you raised here? We are still experiencing this issue on Fuji patch 12, so I agree that the KB for this issue seems to be incorrect.

Thanks
