The purpose of this post is to request reliable, concrete information regarding the Certified Administrator Exam. My unverified understanding is that there are no questions on the exam with answers not included in the ebook via inkling that is provided with the course SN Administrator Fundamentals. I understand other study material, such as ServiceNow documents, are relevant and helpful. Are there questions on the exam with answers not provided in the ebook via inkling provided with the course?
Any information you can provide will be appreciated immensely.
Thank you

Hi @LFleming
- Both answers provided by @AG - LearnNGrow and @AndersBGS are 100% incompatible, at least one of the answers is 100% incorrect.
Atul: No, if you ask me answer given by @AndersBGS is also true. The reason is, that it is not always the case that you get ask questions in the same words or scenario which is available in the ebook. It can be changed but answers will be from ebooks only.
- If it is true that the ebook is the only and best source of truth regarding questions on the SN Certified Administrator Exam, exam questions are not based on study material apart from the ebook. Exposure to materials outside the ebook introduces a risk of providing information contrary to correct answers.
Atul: External material is good for gaining knowledge but the answers given by external material are correct, not correct. I had this experience and said from that. Don't consider the practice question has always the right answer.
- If the ebook is missing information or incorrect regarding questions on the SN Certified Administrator Exam, then I would like to find documentation which can be relied upon in life's highest-risk situations to provide correct, and only correct, information.
Atul: Yes, docs are the another sources to find the right information.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.

Hi @LFleming
I'm not sure I agree that the answers from @Dr Atul G- LNG and @AndersBGS are contradictory.
When you boil it down, they're both saying the official course material is the source of truth for the exam, aren't they?
I'm also not sure this get-everything-correct-at-all-costs philosophy you're espousing is conducive to a long and happy life.
If you've every studied business risk methodology, for example, you'll appreciate that not every risk should be mitigated because sometimes the cost of mitigation exceeds the potential cost of the risk.
All I'm saying is that while the actual pass mark for the CSA exam is kept secret by ServiceNow, it's widely known to be in the ballpark of 75-80%. And when you pass, they don't even tell you what your score was.
Therefore you've got at least a 20% margin for error, so the best approach is: study the course material, make sure you understand it, cement that theoretical knowledge by doing the labs, and you will almost certainly pass!

Simon,
If the actual pass mark is secret, how can it be widely known to be in the ballpark of 75%-80%?

Hi @LFleming
There's quite an industry that's built up around ServiceNow exams: people selling training courses, compiling and selling exam dumps, etc.
A lot of smart people keep an eye on what's going on and inevitably information leaks out from ServiceNow as well.
