Hello,
Would it be possible where we have child topics as below, to create one that when clicked opens a new tab as a URL to an external site? We would like to add a link to our Intranet here.
Thanks in advance!

Hi @MichaelCreatura ,
Please follow the steps i have mentioned in my answer:
If you are looking for the exact concept of the Quick links ,then this is how it works:
Associate a quick link to a topic:
- Navigate to All > Content Taxonomy > Topics.
- Click and open the topic to associate with a quick link.
- On the Quick Link tab, click New.
- On the form, fill in the fields. For more information on the fields and description, see Connected Content form.
- Click Submit.
Finally what you will see:
- On the Employee Center home page, click a root topic.
If the root topic has quick links associated with it, and if you have access to the quick links, then those quick links are displayed for that root topic on the mega menu.Note: The external link icon (
- Click any quick link that you want to view.
Depending on the content type associated with the quick link, the relevant content is displayed.

Hello @MichaelCreatura ,
Yes, that's possible. Create the child topic and on the connected content related item, create a Quick link pointing to an external link. Since the Quick link field is a reference, you must create the link to your external link in the Quick links table.
if my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as accepted solution and give a thumb up.
Kind regards
Misgana D.

Hello,
I have done these steps but now the quick link is opening both in the current tab and in a new tab.
How do I change this to just open in a new tab?
Thanks,

Many customers are using Employee Center Pro to replacing their intranet portals and create a single UX for employee communications and service management. You can find out more here on the Community if you are interested.
