I found that the "antivirus.infected" event was firing and sending email notifications.
I could not able to find where this event was called and when exactly it will trigger.
can anyone help me on this.

If you check for 'antivirus' in your navigation pane, you will find the settings (including activity). The attachment scanner triggers the event and the 'Notify when attachment is infected' notification is triggered by that event. You can use the Configuration under Antivirus to adjust settings.
