Is there any way of getting information of the last view of the dashboard. How do we get the information of all the dashboards which are getting viewed by user?

Hello @AiswaryaD591330,

To get information about the last time a dashboard was viewed and who viewed it, you'll need to leverage the usage metrics features provided by your dashboarding platformIn Power BI, you can access usage metrics reports that track views and users. For Looker dashboards, System Activity dashboards provide similar insights. Some platforms might also offer the ability to export this data for further analysis.

Power BI:
  1. 1. Access Usage Metrics:
Navigate to the dashboard, click the ellipsis (...) to open the More options menu, and select "View usage metrics report".
  2. 2. Analyze the Report:
The report will display various metrics, including the number of views and unique users. You can further filter and drill down to see which dashboards are being used and by whom.
  3. 3. Export Data:
For more in-depth analysis, you can export the underlying data from the usage metrics report.

Looker:
  1. 1. System Activity:
Looker's System Activity dashboards, particularly the "User Activity" and "Content Activity" reports, provide insights into dashboard usage.
  2. 2. Explore Metrics:
These reports show how users are interacting with dashboards, including views and other actions.
  3. 3. Consider Looker Reports:
If enabled by your Looker administrator, you can also leverage the Looker reports feature within System Activity for more detailed monitoring.

General Tips:
  • Check Documentation:
Consult the documentation for your specific dashboarding platform (e.g., Grafana, Tableau, etc.) for detailed instructions on accessing and interpreting usage metrics.

  • Consider Data Export:
If the platform offers it, exporting the usage data to a database or a data analysis tool can provide greater flexibility for analysis and reporting.

  • Automated Tracking:
Some platforms might allow you to set up automated tasks or workflows to periodically extract and analyze usage data, ensuring you have up-to-date information.

Looks like ChatGPT didn't realize this is about ServiceNow, not PowerBI and Looker.

Where is the *LOL* instead of like 😉
