On Behalf of Approval

(Please forgive what might be the basic question asked, but I have searched the community responses for an hour and am not finding an answer that is applicable.)

I work on a Technical Desk and have an existing process that requires the creation of a ServiceNow ticket to, say, power off a server. The only person that can approve this action is the server's owner. However, the server owners are woefully untrained at creating ServiceNow tickets. I wish to create a ticket (which I'm trained in and do all the time) on the server owner's behalf, so that the system requires THEM to approve the ticket before any action can be taken.

The issue seems to be that as the ticket creator, I'M seen as the approver. Is there a way to systemically change this so the "On Behalf Of" user is the approver?

Hi @TheJeffreyP

you need to contact your ServiceNow admins or catalog item owner to have modified the catalog - this is the most correct solution.
