Can't use Send Notification or Send Email as a reminder for pending Approvals for Approvers

Hi

 

I am trying to set up a reminder for approvers that they have a pending approval request in a Flow Designer flow for my Service Categories, but I am running into an issue. See screenshots RITM0017725-1 - RITM0017725-4, where I use the Send Notification, and when I tested the flow for the request, the flow failed when it got to the notification.

 

I tried using Send Email, too, but I could not add the Approver to the "To" field. See RITM0017725-5 - RITM0017725-6. I am not sure what I am missing.

@Tanushree Maiti, Okay, so I need to add the actual approver email ID for this to work? What if each requestor have different approvers? How do I ensure the approval request reminder is sent to the correct approver?

Based on the YouTube video on Refer: Approval Reminder Using Flow Designer do I actually need to create a separate flow outside of my Service Category request flow just for approval reminders?  

 

@Tanushree Maiti, I followed the YouTube video found on: Approval Reminder Using Flow Designer, and I ended up with an error on line 3: the send email action. I checked line 3 in the flow, and this should be correct, see RITM0017727-1 to RITM0017727-2

Hi @BenFan ,

 

System is not valid recipient as per error screen shot. For testing ,add a valid user's email id  ( notification is enabled for that user).
