Workplace Service Delivery May Store Release live May 05, 2022

 

With this release, ServiceNow continues to expand on the employee workplace experience, and formally launches ServiceNow’s replatform of Mapwize, an acquisition made September 2021, as a new native mapping application included within Workplace Service Delivery licensing, ServiceNow® Workplace Indoor Mapping. Create and manage indoor mapping experiences 

The May release for Workplace Service Delivery brings built-in indoor mapping capabilities through the new Workplace Indoor Mapping application. The application includes a new Map Studio tool that allows anyone with the right Workplace Service Delivery role to create, edit and maintain their workplace indoor mapping experiences.

 

Key benefits include: 

  • Enabling employees with easy access to create reservations, receive directions, view available services, and report issues from the floor map 
  • Providing map admins with self-service to create and maintain indoor maps – from importing floor plans to managing content (points of interest, directions, look and feel, etc.)

Schedule hybrid meetings directly while making a reservation 

With many employees working hybrid mixes of onsite and remote, the ability to add a virtual meeting invite when reserving a space is key to easy collaboration. ServiceNow heard you as our customer. With this release, we bring hybrid meeting capabilities into the reservation experience.

 

Key benefits include: 

  • Adding virtual meeting invite when creating a reservation in Workplace Reservation Management application, once reservation is complete the virtual meeting link and recording will show once available 
  • Indicating the virtual meeting provider (Teams and Zoom) from workplace admin for quick add into reservations with support for both web and native mobile

Set spaces as your favorites and find and reserve from the favorite list 

As we are in the office again, employees will have the ability to indicate certain spaces as favorites and view them from a unified list in the Workplace Reservation Management application. Employee favorites for reservations can be managed via EC (Employee Center) portal and supports both web and native mobile. 

 

Key benefits include: 

  • Checking availability and reserving spaces directly from favorites list for easy access to your reservable space preferences 
  • Grouping, sorting, and filtering available spaces based on favorites 
  • Prioritizing favorite spaces in quick reservations

Invite attendees and register visitors when creating a reservation 

With collaboration top of mind, enhancements for May include the ability to invite attendees and register visitors to any workplace reservation. To access this feature, it requires the Workplace Visitor Management included in the Workplace Service Delivery solution. Employees can add colleagues and known visitors when using native mobile and web. 

 

Key benefits include: 

  • Adding visitors and registering them to visit the office 
  • Assigning attendees to their expected locations on the reservation summary and notifying them 
  • Tracking if attendees have accepted the invitation

Track and manage lifecycle by capturing the status of individual spaces 

Understanding the use of space in the future of work will continue to be a key priority for workplace managers and organizations as they look to optimize the use of their space. In this release, space lifecycle status is introduced to the Workplace Space Management application. 

 

Key benefits include: 

  • Planning for future and makeshift spaces and changes to existing locations 
  • Capturing and tracking planned activation dates along with location status changes and allow the space hierarchy to inherit the changes for easy management 
  • Controlling utilization of spaces (in reservation or permanent allocation) based on the space status 
  • Analyzing capacity addition and change trends over the period for better planning

Deliver enhancements for vaccination status submissions and approvals

As the world continues to adapt to changing regulations and workplace policies around health and safety, enhancements to Safe Workplace Suite are introduced to help our customers easily track and manage vaccination record submissions along with health and safety approvals.

 

Key benefits include: 

  • Reporting vaccines on behalf of other users for vaccine administrators 
  • Accessing the Approval Portal for manager to easily view, approve, or deny their employees' vaccine responses, vaccine exemptions, and health test results 
  • Introducing a new role to enable users to view, approve, or deny records within the Approval Portal for employee health and safety status
