Neighborhood Color Legend

Hi,

Do you know if it's possible to change the Neighborhood Color that is displayed in the Legend area when viewing the mapping in the Location Directory?

Looks like that NOW is using random colors. We would like to use custom colors. Is there a way to associate a color with a Neighborhood?

Hello @fabio_milani , the colors used are generated to ensure they are unique across the generated neighborhoods. A similar process is used when generating Space planning scenarios. I have captured the feedback for future roadmap considerations.

Best regards,

Arvid

I learned that the same neighborhood name could have different colors associated with it. For example, if you have two neighborhoods available on Building A and Floor 1 (example: "Finance" and "Sales"), then the Location Directory mapping will display in the legend area the color Blue for the first one based on the Neighborhood Alphabetical order and also based on the availability in the particular Building A and Floor 1.

So, it means that we cannot associate a "hardcoded" color with a neighborhood, right?

@Arvid I did new tests on my PDI and I noticed that colors are associated randomly based on the building and floor that the user is viewing in the location directory map. Is there a way to use the same color for a neighborhood across the buildings and floors?

Hello @fabio_milani , when a neighborhood is created, we assign it a color. This color will be used for all the buildings and floors in the neighborhood.

But it is currently not possible to overwrite this color with a color of your choosing.

We use the same logic when using scenario planning and for the location directory. But also when creating a neighborhood from platform UI.

Best,
