WSD reservation outlook addin

Hi there,

 

Has anyone lately activated the Outlook addin for reservations with Tokyo release please? If so can you please share your experience and any gochyas please?

 

The docs says create a manifest file based on the sample file. The first question that is not clear is what is the ID field in that XML file. According to the docs it is pointing to the MS docs but there is nothing there.

 

IdUnique ID for the add-in. For more ore information, refer to the Microsoft documentation.

 

Any extra details based on your experience would be appreciated. Are there any videos around this or any other great community posts?

Hello @Rahman3,

 

The Outlook add-in "runs on top of" the Calendar Synchronization with Exchange Online.  The Calendar Sync app must be configured, and spaces synchronize actively using this interface.

Can you confirm this has been done?

 

The main requirements to use the Outlook add-in;

* Spaces are synchronizing with Exchange Online

* An email address is added to the space record (also required for the previous point)

* The capacity of a space should be one or more

* The employee has the workplace_user role
