DWDM/Optical network equipment
My company utilizes optical network equipment, think Cisco optical or ciena waveservers for high capacity links between locations
Currently we have these devices in the generic "Network gear" class in the CMDB, we do not have discovery deployed.
Is there a more appropriate class for this hardware?
Has anyone discovered this kind of hardware to see how Servicenow classifies and builds relationships out of the box?

Hi Ali,
I think that Telco Equipment (cmdb_ci_ni_telco_equipment) is the right class. Which is a child class of Network gear.
If you don't have it on the instance, please make sure that CMDB CI Class Models plugin is upgraded.
With this class you can build additional relationships with Slots, Interface cards and interfaces CI classes.
Thanks,
Ievgen
