Exclude IP range when setting CI's IP on Discovery

Can anyone suggest a method on excluding an ip range (like 172.25* in this screenshot) from becoming the Ip address of this CI?

These two Network adapters have been inserted by the Discovery process.

does the adapter have the IP address for the port? Or it's inserting wrong information?
