Hi all,
Guys I'm implementing the CMDB in my organization and we are running efforts to start Discovery. So far we enabled the CMDB Health Dashboard and the CMDB Workspace however it is more operational and more to the CMDB Manager use it.
So I don't know if anybody has made any kind of an executive dashboard in order to show to an excecutive board the progress or helath in a very high level in order they can take a look and believe that the investment made in the CMDB is worthy.
Honestly I don't have too much clue about what can be build in that excecutive dashboard, so if you have made one or have any ideas I'll appretiate your help and ideas.
Regards.

Hello @Mariana Elena G
I have actually said this in multiple of my CMDB answers, but yes again 😀 I was into this whole CMDB cleanup this month and yes I have created an executive dashboard as well.
We have more tabs but primarily, I will tell about two tabs . One is related to everything in CMDB - name it however you want.
Below are the reports in that tab -
- CIs created today
- CMDB total count
- Stale CIs
- Type counts
- Recommended CIs
- Orphan CIs
- Existing duplicate count
- Duplicate CIs
Other tab that is related to discovery has pretty much same things, but it's related to discovery runs , means grouped by discovery sources - this source had how many new CIs, stale CIs, Total count of this discovery source and so on.
You can add more tabs as well to this, if you have any Integrations which brings in the CI in your system such as Intune, SCCM, Solarwinds etc - then add them.
I hope this answers your query well and good.
Kindly mark my answer as helpful and accept solution if it helped you in anyway. This will help me be recognized for the efforts and also move this questions from unsolved to solved bucket.
Regards,
Shivalika

Additionally you can activate the 'CMDB and CSDM data foundations dashboard' which is explained in the following URL:
This dashboard provides insights about CMDB data quality and CSDM data alignment.
Also many KPIs of interest to executives may not be directly related to CMDB (as it is more operational in nature). But as CMDB & CSDM are important across all the ServiceNow products, the outcomes of improvements in CMDB data quality and CSDM alignment will indirectly reflect in the executive dashboards of other products. For example, Asset management executive dashboard is mentioned in the following URL:
This dashboard requires either HAM or SAM products activated in the instance. As CMDB is closely related with asset management and since CIs are kept in sync with assets, improving the CMDB data quality would make it easier to improve some of the KPIs in the asset executive dashboard.

Thank you so much!! It gives me a lot of guideline to follow. And what a marvelous idea the 2 tabs one for Discovery and the other for ALL CMDB.
