Hello
I am looking for guidance on how to classify appliances. All of my items are server appliances both physical and virtual, that cant be picked up by discovery. We are currently using Utah version of ServiceNow and currently we dont see any ootb classes for appliance. Appreciate if you can guide us. TIA

There is a Network Appliance Hardware (cmdb_ci_net_app_server) class. It is a child class of 'Server hardware' class (which in turn is a child class of the Server class). Check whether this class is suitable for the type of appliances that you need to track.

Hello Ashok,
We have some DDI & ISE network appliances. Will it be a good idea to put them under "Network Appliances Hardware (cmdb_ci_net_app_host)" ? We are not putting them under "Network Appliance Hardware (cmdb_ci_net_app_server) " as the network team suggested they does not belong to server category in any way.

cmdb_ci_net_app_host should be the ideal CI class as they don't belong to the server category. But before finalizing that class, I'd suggest to gather more details like the purpose of these appliances, their model name (if available) and other available data so that you can check if they fit into any other CI classes.
