Incident: Populate Service offerings based on CI

Hi Team,

 

Can anyone tell me how to populate service offering based on CI's. If I choose CI then I want to populate Service offering of it which is present on higher level but the relationship of CI's is not cosistent (till Service )in between there are mutiple dependancies present.

Practically speaking it is not that much easy.

1. You need to write script on cmdb rel table

2. Store this in an array

3. If the CI has one mapping as Service and popluate

4. if more than 1 mappin then give option to user to select.

 

Again, a lot of time consuming and hard to maintain.

Why you want to do that. In some cases you will a CI used in multiple services. In that case it may populate the wrong information. Now when you choose a CI and do not choose the service automatically then you can go to the CI's relationship and find out which service a particular service may be impecting.
