Hi all,
is it possible, in CSDM model setup, to choose Change Approval group (using Change Approval Policy or anyhow else) from Technical Service Offering (field "Change group"), based on CI related to Change record, while the CI is part of Dynamic CI Group related to this Technical Service Offering?
If yes, how?
Thank you,
Michal

If the ask is, can I populate and keep in sync the group information from an Offering to Configuration Items that are part of a Dynamic CI group, the answer is yes.
One of the key benefits of using a Dynamic CI Group is that if you correlate that record to a Service Offering via a Managed By::Manages relationship, you can actually pass down to the Configuration Items field mapping via a scheduled job
For example, if we had a Service Offering for Apple Support – Brasil, you could set the following fields to all the configuration items
- Managed by group
- Support Group
- Change group
If you have not done so already, you would want to create a Technical Service
- In our example, we created a Technical Service of “Personal Computer Management – Apple”
Once you have created a Technical Service, you will create corresponding Offerings
- In our example, we will make one Offering to each Dynamic CI Group in question
- You will populate the Managed By Group, Support Group, and Change Group fields
You will want to build a relationship from the offering to the Dynamic CI group using Managed by Parent as seen below
There is a nightly scheduled job called “CSDM Data Sync” that will help populate the fields in question
- An Administrator can “Execute Now” to sync data before the scheduled job
