I need to make certain fields dynamically update when an approval process is manually added, but I'm encountering issues. Here's what I am trying to achieve:
- Catalog items without approver (e.g., basic items like a keyboard or mouse): No approval is needed, and the flow automatically updates the relevant fields when the request is made. The fields I’m focusing on are:
- RITM Stage & Approval
- REQ Request State & Approval
- When adding an approver manually: A Service Desk user may add an approver. When this happens, I need these fields to dynamically update based on the approval status (Requested, Approved, or Rejected). As of now, when an approver is added, these fields remain static and do not update as expected.
What I need help with:
- Making the RITM Stage, REQ Request State, and Approval fields automatically update when an approver is added and when the approval status changes (Requested, Approved, or Rejected).
I’ve tried creating a flow and business rule, but I’ve been unsuccessful with both. I’ve done several tests and changes, but I still don’t have a solution.
Any suggestions or can point me to the right direction on how I can achieve this dynamic field update functionality for items requiring approval?
