I cannot impersonate this user, as it will fail to load the back-end...
I cannot send requests using the 'send as' functionality in the rest api explorer, as that has been made read-only by service now...
So how do I test functionality that only runs when triggered by web service access only users?

Well, i suggest you to create HI for this question of removing ability to send as in REST API explorer.
There are plenty of SOAP and REST testing tools available.
Regards,
Sachin

I hope someone comes with a better solution within the system, because that would really be a waste of time 😕 Why would servicenow remove the ability to do something like this 😕
