The Wrong approver is being marked as the one who approved after email is sent in.

So set up a Change notification for group adminstration, email goes out and the approval links work as far as moving the item to the next stage of the workflow,  this was a task in and of itself but ALMOST everything works as intended.  The only problem i've discovered today is that the wrong approver is marked as having approved the change,  So for example, if the reply comes from my outlook,  the Request is approved but instead of saying I was the approver,  another admin is marked instead.

 

I have no clue where to look to find the solution for this, can anyone point me in the right direction?

I've noticed this before but I wouldn't say it's the wrong. I've seen in the approval related list that the approval goes out to person X but they have a delegate that approves it. In the related list it shows person X but if you open the approval it will show who actually approved it. Once the approval goes out to person X it can't update to who actually approved it. You might have a case where you are sending it to individual people instead of a group and when the other approver approves it, the record looks like you approved it. Just a thought.

So its actually showing them approving it before the email even gets sent to the approvers, but they are not actually approving it, 

 

its set to auto approve any request <0.00,

 

that might have something to do with it, but i'm not sure as to how to fix this

There are two levels of approval. One at the cart or REQ level and then on the individual items. We don't have any prices on items, so the first one on the REQ is auto approved because it's under $1,000 and then we have users approve the RITM item level. 

 

 

Yeah same, we have auto approve on the REQ

Other that that approval in the beginning(which may be the auto approve for the req)

it only shows the email sent,

email received (from me)

then Approved as requested

and then the approved email going out.

 

 

 

so if you approve it, the approval shows someone else approved but shows your email being the only one received, what if the other admin approves it instead of you?
