What is the benefit of marking your portal as the default, apart from making it green in the list?

Hello,
When selected (checked), this portal is treated as your primary portal. That's all.

Hi @Meloper ,
Default checkbox checked in service portal it will be green in list and used when a user logs in or accesses the ServiceNow portal, the system automatically redirects them to the default portal. This helps ensure that users are directed to the most relevant portal for their needs without having to manually select it from url

You are wrong, default functionality is nothing to do with redirection, redirection requires some configuration changes as mentioned in article. Default just means it's a default portal and nothing to do with anything else.

Yes default checkbox is checked then the portal we can use it as main portal.
