what role should i give to group manager except user_admin because it gives too much access

What is the purpose of that group? Where you are going to use it?

Also what all functions you want that Manager to perform?

Please explain your usecase?

Ideally you should give atlease itil role to managers and rest is dependent on the function which manager will be performing.

there is field in sys_user_grmember table that field should be edititable to only group managers only that is why am trying to give role to group managers

Can you please check acl on that table and field , if there is any role specified in the acl then you can give that role to the group manager.

Also why you don't want to give user_admin role, which extra access you don't want to give to this user?

Try giving these role : safe_scrum_master ,safe_art_user if this works.

user_admin gives extra access
