Employee Centre Search

I am trying to configure Employee Center on UTAH for the first time, albeit a bit late to the party.

When I search on the home page at the top or where it says 'How can we help?' I don't get the results I am after or similar to those I get on the Service Portal

Searching on the 'Service Portal' I get a list of catalog items and if I click on an item it opens the form on the portal in a way of letting me fill the form out as a user, this is what I want.

Searching on the 'Employee Center' I get a list of catalog items and if I click on an item it opens the form in a way that I can modify the form, which is not what I want users to be able to do.

I guess it is a setting/configuration but so far I have been unable to find it and how to resolve it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

As much help with what I need to do would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve,

I am assuming you have AI search enabled on your Employee Center (EC).  If this is the case, it sounds like you may have more than one active EC portal record or created a new one.  Go to sp_ai_search_results_action_config table and make sure your EC is included in the "Service Portal(s)" list.

Thank you Susan, you were completely correct and now it is working as I wanted. Steve

Hi, what about if you don't have AI search enabled? Where do Search logs go? I'm struggling to find where the ESC search logs are / which table. Thanks
